Girls Night Out

Legwork

Jamileh get a call from Dwayne, who has an assosiate looking for talented individuals. Dwayne also believes this job is right up her alley, but warns she will probably need matrix support. He provides her with contact details for a Mr. Wallace, and then leaves her to decide whether to call him or not.

Mr. Wallace, when contacted, explains that he requires a small ctylinder, no more than 3 centimeters diameter by twenty in length- it's a chiller unit, which contains a very valuable substance. It's located at a rather secret facility which itself is located right in the heart of the Denver metroplex, infact, in a facility hidden beneath a disused school. His agents have found out this much, but he requires a gentler touch for the rest of the job. They pay is sixty thousand nuyen, and more details are to follow if she's willing to accept.

60K for a B&E job…. Jamileh could use the money for a lot of reasons, but she's not desperate. It's more that the idea intrigues her, which is what she tells Hitomi when hitting the young hacker for that matrix support. "Something to do," she notes with a shrug, "though crikey, what's worth that much to be swiped."

Hitomi is pretty receptive to the idea, "It's prolly… I dunno. You said it was in a chilled container? And some secret facility? Maybe it's some new Biotech reipee… or some kind of mutated virus or something like that." After a moment's pause, she concludes, "You know… maybe I'd rather not know."

"Yeah, me neither, but I don't have so much scratch the amount doesn't appeal. Thirty for each of us?" Jamileh smiles feebly. "I'm getting the BMW snazzed up for Johny, so I could use the extra money. If it's no good we'll just bugger off, right? I don't even know this bloke, and I don't think Dwayne would send me somewhere wrong."

Hitomi nods her head, "I always need more cash, to be honest. Being a decker is expensive, especially if you want to be able to not die if you have to access somewhere onsite."

"Right, ah…I don't want to be a pain in the arse or anything, Hits, but can you maybe check the Matrix, see what's going on with this place and this bloke that's hiring us?" Jamileh asks warily. "I don't want to come off queer but I have…standards, I guess you'd say."

Hitomi grins, and she says, "Hey no problem. Call me Jailbait from here on out, though, ok?" She says to Jamileh. "I'll get right on it, dig up what I can in the public ownership records. If not, I'll see if I can find any juicier info in the private communications." Sh says then, and offers a salute.

Nodding to that, Jamileh answers, "Right, soon as our game faces are on. Wisp here, you know. Lemme know if you need anything, else I'll stay out of your way, yeah?"

Hitomi grins, "With any luck this should only take a few minutes. If I'm NOT lucky, it might take a couple of days. Cross your fingers." She suggests then, as she retreats to her little hidey hole to get to work.

If Wisp were a smoker, here's where she'd smoke. But she's not, so she just paces. Oh, and listens to really, really loud music.

At first, this appears to be a rather standard abandoned building. The windows are boarded up. However, once one examines it for a while, they begin to notice strange things. There is not one window whos wood is damaged, or even old and rotten. The doors are all intact and close examination reveals functional maglocks on them. Keypads are hidden behind false bricks. Cameras at strategic locations. It is clear that this abandoned building is actually rather secure, and meticulously maintained.

Commlink-Wisp> Jamileh says, "Why do I feel like what we're being asked to take is bloody dangerous?"
Commlink-BlueFairy> Hitomi says, "The good news is, this division is mostly concerned with medical research. But… well, they are not known for being particularly ethical."
Commlink-Wisp> Jamileh says, "Oh, bugger me sideways…it's going to be something bloody nasty, innit, like…a weapon or something like?"

Commlink-Wisp> Jamileh sighs. "Right, let's go get the bloody thing and then think on it, yeah? I mean, if nothing else someone in our lot might want a peek at her."
Commlink-BlueFairy> Hitomi says, "Agreed."
Commlink-BlueFairy> Hitomi says, "Alright, give it a day- I'll need to pick up some gear- and then we'll go in. This /should/ be fairly easy. Hopefully."

A day has passed, Jamileh and Hitomi have got a good night's sleep, and everyone is prepared for the day ahead. The two have decided it would be ebst to hit the place in the evening, so they have the whole day to be prepared, and also because, well, places tend to be fuller during the day. So the time has finally come.

Commlink-Wisp> Jamileh says, "Oi, JB, you out there, love? I'm going to have a peek, make sure I'm clear to jam."
Commlink-BlueFairy> Hitomi says, "Alright, here's what I have for a plan. You try to find some kind of communication or beraker box. Their securitys ystem isn't directly connected to the matrix, but if you connect their security system to the console port on their waste disposal system with that dataline tap I left you, I can break in through the City Council Waste Management Service host."
Commlink-BlueFairy> Hitomi says, "Then I'll make their host my bitch. If all goes well, we'll be able to snag this thing from under their noses and they won't even know."
Commlink-Wisp> Jamileh says, "Yeah, I gotcher. I think that won't be too bloody hard."

It's been a day, and it's a bit earleir on today. The only difference Jam will notice, is that an unmarked grey roadmaster is sitting, engines off, on the grounds. There does not appear to be anyone in it, but her knowledge of security systems tells her that this probably means there is a shift switch going on, or about to happen.

Sometimes shifts are good things with disorganization, sometimes they just mean more people are around to spot stuff. Wisp hangs, watching to see which is which in this case. She does -not- need to be caught. No thanks.
Commlink-BlueFairy> Hitomi says, "How's it look?"
Commlink-Wisp> Jamileh says, "Not sure, mate, really not sure. There's a roadmaster out here; looking to see who's driving it. Probably shift's going on with the security."

There is the distinc stound of muffled voices coming from inside. You can't hear what they are saying, but they are definitely enar that maglocked main entrance. And the sound is getting closer.
Commlink-Wisp> Jamileh says, "Crikey, going silent a few."

Having said that, Wisp immediately looks for a place to hide…but close to the entrance, in case she can sneak in without having to hack the maglock.
It's about five minutes waiting, but then, the doors open. A group of six people wearing heavy security armor emerge, a seventh is wearing lighter armor- some kind of armored jumpsuit with a vest. Their armor is unmarked. All of them have obvious cyberware, whether it be arms or eyes, or the lighter armored one has a complete and obvious cyberskull, given how the back of his head down to his neck is metal, and a couple of wires protude from the plating.

Holy crap. The Aussie sinks a little farther into the shadows, holding her breath. That's a ton of security, and a lot of it is meant to detect someone just like her.

They're all out now, but they stand near the door. Each of them is equipped with a P110 Bulpup-configuration personal defense weapon, save the lightlya rmored one who appears to be ecquipped with some kind of pistol. As the last out, he is closing the door while all by one of the others head to the roadmaster. One of the heavily armored guys waits by the door with the guy who's closing it. At a squeeze, you only have a few seconds to make a dash for it if you choose to do so.

Holding her breath, eyeing the slender opening and thanking Allah for once that she's a stick, Wisp bolts for the door, hoping against hope that she'll be able to get past…if not? Well, jig's up.

It's a good job indeed that Wisp is so skinny, because the gap is only about two feet wide by the time she gets there, and she'll have to turn on her side to make it through, but she does indeed make it through. Inside is pitch black, until there's a beep from the door locking, and the room lights up. It's very… creepily modern inside. Walls, floor and ceiling are white, and the light is somehow ambient- no obvious bulbs in sight. There are two single plastisteel doors at either end of the room. There is no-one in here, from the looks of things.

Commlink-Wisp> Jamileh whispers, "Jails?"
Commlink-BlueFairy> Hitomi says, "I gotcha. You in?"
Commlink-Wisp> Jamileh says, "Yeah, surprisingly. Security here's all bloody scary. Keep tabs, yeah?"

Once inside, Wisp pauses a moment to orient herself and catch her breath, then she starts creeping forward, looking around for, you know, cameras and things like that. Because she expects to be seen, maybe.
Commlink-BlueFairy> Hitomi says, "Alright- try to find their commlines, there should be a box on the wall somewhere you can open up and set up that dataline tap. Otherwise, you can disable a camera and hook it up through that, but it might draw attention if a camera goes offline."

There are two cameras in this room, ine ach of the coprners opposite the door. They're enclosed in mirrored black bubbles so it's impossible to see if they are moving, or where they are pointing. The box Hitomi is talking about is not on the wall at all, but there is a small maglocked access point in the corner. Aside from that, the doors appear to be wired with sensors to detect if they are opened without authorization. Each door has a Card reader with keypad next to it.

Keeping her voice very soft, Wisp relays this information to Jailbait, very unhappily.
Commlink-BlueFairy> Hitomi says, "Well… you any good with maglocks? If you can just set me up that tap, Like I said I can deck into the system and take control of the doors and cameras. Should be a walk in the park."

Trying not to perspire, Wisp does precisely what her partner in crime has dictated, popping off the cover to deactivate the maglock. This sort of thing always feels like an eternity, but the truth is that she has it all done in less than a minute.
Commlink-Wisp> Jamileh says, "Check?"
Commlink-BlueFairy> Hitomi says, "Alright then, now, you still have that dataline tap i gave you, right? it's basically a couple of lengths of optic fiber with some T-Shaped junctions at either end. I need you to cut one of the optic cables inside, and then fill the gap with one T-Junction, and then do the same with the security system one. They should have labels, but they might be a little cryptic."

Commlink-Wisp> Jamileh says, "Hell. Right. Lemme see."

Hitomi is quite correct, they are quite cryptic. There are five wires, color coded with Red, Blue, Green, Black and White.
From Jamileh's knowledge, Red is probably security while blue is almost definitely power control, either white or black is communications, green could be anything.

Later someone might need to tell Jamileh she tends to bite a little on her tongue while concentrating. Maybe it helps; her nimble fingers do precisely what Jailbait instructed in not quite a minute.

And not a moment too soon, either, as one of the doors beeps, and someone comes into the room- one of thsoe armor-wearing security types. He does a visual sweep of the room before stepping inside.

Hell. Wisp grows very, very still and tries, honestly, to become One With the Wall.

Unfortunately for Jamilah, the man's eyes are not fooled by her Rutheum polymers- he has ultrasonic vision. Fortunately for her, she appears to be in a dead spot, or otherwise is two well pressed against the wall to set off his alarm bells. Or maybe he's just not very perceptive- he doesn't even notice that the security box is still open. He gives a thumbs up to the camera, and then steps back out of the room. The door closes with a click.

….and Jamileh manages not to throw up all over the floor. Yikes.

Commlink-Wisp> Jamileh says, "Clear."
Commlink-BlueFairy> Hitomi says, "Alright give me like… thirty seconds, and I'll be in the system."
Commlink-Wisp> Jamileh says, "Check."

«Auto-Judge[]» Hitomi (#8620) spends 100 nuyen for "UCAS MXP Account".
«Auto-Judge[]» Hitomi (#8620) spends 100 nuyen for "DENVER MXP Account".
«Plot» Hitomi uses her accounts to connect to Angelsat, then the Denver RTG, and then the UCAS grid without having to make any tests.

Now Hitomi is in her element. She closes her eyes as she lets her mind slip into the datastreams of the matrix, and when she opens them again, she is on the digital plane. She appears as a featureless, silvery-smooth female humanoid. She floats through cyberspace for a moment, before she sets her eyes on the rpize, hurtling towards the Angelsat Satellite access. Once she reaches the place, she holds out her hand, a beam of light traversing the blackness to transfer her credentials to Angelsat- Angelsat accepts them, and a number of polygons slide apart to grant ehr access. Hitomi's icon does a gambowl, and then speeds up hurtling through the opened access point.

Once through, Hitomi begins gliding through the Angelsat RTG, deftly avoiding a cluster of IC, and then heading towards the enxt zone in her matrix voyage. She heads towards the Denver connection, and once more fires a single beam to show her credentials, and once more the interlocked polygons shift to grant her passage. Once more she picks up speed, sailing along at the speed of throught now through the Denver RTG.

Hitomi's enxt destination comes up shortsly, as she dodges a low flying security decker and ducks under a misplaced firewall, she comes ot the UCAS grid. Holding out her palm, she locks on and beams the third disposable MXP account's info, and finally, the icons open up to grant her passage. Hitomi dashes through and pauses long enough to establish a communications link with Jamileh.

Hitomi's silvery form continues to fly along the virtual highways and byways, hurtling towards her target host. Once she reaches the SAN, she first locks onto her target, analyzing it for weaknesses.

Locked on, Hitomi doesn't waste any time. Firs tof all she targets the Encryption that was locking the access node from being deceived- launchign a beam she attempts to destroy the scramble IC.

Hitomi has no trouble at all blasting the little icon suspending the sstem access node jsut out of reach, now all that's left is deceiving the node itse;lf and gaining access to the next area. She locks on, and then prepares eight seperate beams- intending to confuse the system with eight simultanious balsts, and grant her access despite her lack of credentials.

The system access node bursts in a stream of light, granting her access to the system it hides. Hitomi's pulse increases as she ehads through, as the real action begins.

Hitomi breathes a sigh of releaf as she heads in, and then does a quick visual sweep to make sure that there's no Synthesesia mask. When she's satisiied this is the reald eal, she turns off down a tunnerl, hurtling towards the Index subsystem. She locks onto it's protective nodes, and then attempts to blast them- forcing it to reveal the location of the new, illegal, SAN that Wisp set up for her.

It's a rough fight, but Hitomi eventually manages to crack the index subsystem's tough outer shell. She flies inside, and peeris into it's data-core. Eventually, she finds an anomoulous thread, and grabs ahold of it, allowing it to tug her towards the next destination in her list, the SAN. This SAN appears to her like a black hole, disrupting the grid around it- as it is indeed not supposed to be there. She dives in headlong, attempting to force her way into the next host.

«Plot» Hitomi validates a Superuser account, which lasts for one day.

Hitomi manages to navigate the black hole, and it ejects her into the violent, hostile host of the Security system she was attempting to access, rendered as a volcano-strewn landscape made of planes and vectors. Hitomi takes a moment now, to pause, and change her shape. She rolls up into a ball, the silver color fading to a matte, black color. And then she floats onwards with a bit more caution.

The Heist

Commlink-BlueFairy> Hitomi says, "Hey. Wisp? I'm in. I've taken control of their systems, should be smooth sailing from here on out. Got any requests? I can't see you, so you'll need to tell me which doors you need unlocking, and the like."
Commlink-Wisp> Jamileh says, "Got it. Just give me bloody heads up, yeah? One of their guards near made me piss myself."
Commlink-BlueFairy> Hitomi says, "Don't worry, I'll keep an eye on the cameras."

Taking a moment, a half-moment, to gulp some air and reorient herself before walking slowly toward the eastern doorway, Wisp looks around, this way and that, and keeps low, just in case. Habit, you know?

Commlink-Wisp> Jamileh says, "Oi, Jails, you see anything on the cameras?"
Commlink-BlueFairy> Hitomi says, "Hold up… Lemme see if I can find a floorplan, might help me keep track of you."
Commlink-Wisp> Jamileh says, "Yeah, thanks."

Hitomi is currently in the seat of power in this host. The black or she's become has sprouted a dozen limbs to help her manage all of the feeds, and she reaches into the file sbubsystem, the tentacle punching straight through any defenses, to pull up a floorplan. Once she has it, she studies it for a minute.

Commlink-BlueFairy> Hitomi says, "You got any kind of poccsec I can send this to? Right now, it looks like you're in the main entrance, but all the labels are in Nahuatl. I can't understand a thing. Anyway, I can check the feeds. Which door are you taking?"
Commlink-Wisp> Jamileh says, "Eastern. I got my cell with me and my TCU, that's it, love."
Commlink-BlueFairy> Hitomi says, "What's your cell number? I'll send it the floorplan. Not ideal but better than nothing."
Commlink-Wisp> Jamileh says, "0268."

After a couple of moments, jamileh will receive a picture emssage with the blueprints. It's not interractive, but it's fairlye asy for her to figure out which area she's in. It helps that her phone comes with a compas app.

Meanwhile, Hitomi brings up the sensor feeds for the eastern and western doors.

Commlink-Wisp> Jamileh says, "Crikey, you're bonzer, Jails. Lemme have a lookie."
Commlink-BlueFairy> Hitomi says, "Eastern is some sort of hallway, there's a guard at the far end walking towards the eastern door. I think he's walking up and down, so I'll let you know when his back is turned. Other way leads to a room with no cameras."
Commlink-Wisp> Jamileh says, "Righto, gimme a heads up on the eastern, yeah?"

On the floorplan, the eastern hallway is about a meter and a half wide, and runs in an L shape along the side of the building, with several rooms branching from it. Some stuff is obvious- such as the mens and womens toilets, other stuff have less generic labels. The western doorway leads to a single room, with one of the less generic labels. However, there is an image of a monitor there.

Commlink-BlueFairy> Hitomi says, "Alright… here's what I got. On the southern side of that hallway are some private offices, and on the north side is the bathrooms. Around the corner, there's not much of anything till the end, where there's… I dunno. Looks like some kind of… workshop? There are a few small rooms attached to the workshop. I think the room to the west is the monitoring station for the cameras."
Commlink-Wisp> Jamileh says, "Not really where I want to go. I'm guessing the monitor room's got a bloke in there. Workshop sounds good. So down the hall and around the corner, yeah?"
Commlink-BlueFairy> Hitomi says, "Looks that way. That room doesn't have any cameras in, either, but I'm picking up a lot of activity on the consoles in there. I'd say there's people working."
Commlink-Wisp> Jamileh says, "…well, bollocks."
Commlink-BlueFairy> Hitomi says, "Those small rooms attached to the workshop, they have a pretty hefty power drain."
Commlink-Wisp> Jamileh says, "Look like the workshop's the only way in there?"
Commlink-BlueFairy> Hitomi says, "I can't tell at a glance. Lemme see if I can pull up ventilation and plumbing schematics."
Commlink-Wisp> Jamileh says, "You know, those would be a better way for me to get round, love, the vents."

Another of Hitomi's tenticles probes the system, reaching out until it finds the schematics she is after, and drags them back to her. She spends a few moments analyzing them.

Commlink-BlueFairy> Hitomi says, "Well… I have some good news and some bad news. What do you wanna hear first?"
Commlink-Wisp> Jamileh says, "Bad first."
Commlink-BlueFairy> Hitomi says, "The vents in those rooms are at minus fifteen degrees centigrade. The good news is, there IS access. It'll be a tight squeeze, but you should be able to get access to the vents. Easies tplace to access will be… one of the bathrooms or offices."
Commlink-Wisp> Jamileh says, "Yeah, that's…bloody cold. But…MMmm."
Commlink-BlueFairy> Hitomi says, "Eight way, the guy is walking back down the corridor now. He's only about a meter from the door, but he's heading towards the bend."
Commlink-Wisp> Jamileh says, "Gotcher. Can you see the best way to the vents?"
Commlink-BlueFairy> Hitomi says, "Like I said, the bathrooms or the offices. They're both the same distance away. I can't tell if anyone is in the bathrooms unless they flush or use a tap, but all three offices are active."
Commlink-Wisp> Jamileh says, "Toilet it is then, yeah."
Commlink-BlueFairy> Hitomi says, "Guard is around the corner. I'm unlocking the eastern door. Bathrooms will be on your left."

The light on the door goes from red to green, signifying it is unlocked.

Commlink-Wisp> Jamileh says, "Going dark a tick."

When the light on the door goes from red to green, Wisp puts her hand on the knob and surreptitiously turns to open the door. Not that she doesn't trust her partner; she's just ultra-careful. After a peek inside, she slips through, looking at the aforementioned bathroom doors before scurrying forward. She's silent, that's for damned sure.

Once Jamileh is through the door, it locks again with a click.

Holding her breath - something else that Jamileh needs to get out of the habit of doing - and hurrying forward, the Aussie makes it through the door apparently unseen. Once it clicks again, locked, she actually breathes. Her hands are a little shaky, because adrenaline is still something she's getting used to dealing with in the field. Once she's steadier, she lifts her head to regard the entrance to the vent.

Commlink-Wisp> Jamileh says, "In the loo."

The bathroom, thankfully, seems to be unnocupied. The vent is on the far wall, suspended above one of the stalls. Again, it's a good job Jamileh is skinny because it's going to be a squeeze to fit in there. And first, the grill will need to be removed.

Commlink-Wisp> Jamileh says, "Jails, going to take off the grill into the vent…Stand by."

Maybe Wisp is anxious to get in there and see what's what, because she gets the screws off pretty darned fast. Once done, she tucks the grill and the screws against the wall, behind the toilet, and grabs the edge of the vent. Which is, you know, bloody cold. She hisses, then tugs to try to wiggle her way in.
Commlink-Wisp> Jamileh says, "Heading into the vent now."

Just as Jamileh is climbing into the vent, the door rattles a little. There's a pause, and then it rattles again. There's a muffled curse from the other side of the door, and whoever it is seems to have given up for now.

Muttering something about being a stay at home wife instead of a sneak, Jamileh slides in and starts wriggling. It's freezing, and maybe that as much as anything inspires the slender shadow to slide through more quickly than should be humanly possible. It's a tight fight, but she's moving. Now and again, Hitomi might hear a hissed epithet that involves physical impossibilities in intimacy, but she keeps going.

Commlink-BlueFairy> Hitomi says, "Crap, looks like someone has filed a maintainance request for the bathroom. I'm going to see if I can play havok with the plumbing."
Commlink-Wisp> Jamileh says, "Cheers."

Hitomi has to actually try with this one- editing files is, oddly enough, not an automatic action for a superuser. However, she files the complait with minimal fuss, and dates it several hours ago. It won't hold up to a close inspection (Since they can see that the bathroom has been used between then and now) but it should keep them at bay long enough to get the job done.

Commlink-BlueFairy> Hitomi says, "Each one of those paths leads to one of the small rooms, I have no clue which is the right one."
Commlink-Wisp> Jamileh says, "Right, can you tell where the power surge is biggest?"
Commlink-BlueFairy> Hitomi says, "Hrm… No, not really… but there's something else. The one in the middle has a positive pressure sensor reading. The other two have neutral."
Commlink-Wisp> Jamileh says, "How big's the plate, can you tell? Like someone's on it or something?"
Commlink-BlueFairy> Hitomi says, "It's not a person, it's only measuring at eight hundred grams."
Commlink-Wisp> Jamileh says, "Right, sounds like a good place to start. Heading that way."

Commlink-BlueFairy> Hitomi says, "Gotcha. I can't be much help once you're in the room, it's like a dead spot on the sensors save for, like I said, the pressure sensor."
Commlink-Wisp> Jamileh says, "I'll have a look-see. Hold on."

Silencing her comm unit, Wisp slides toward the middle vent, barely daring to inhale or exhale, going more slowly just in case. This feels right, feels like where they'll be needing to go, but no sense jumping to conclusions. She is also clamping down her teeth to try to make sure they don't chatter. The place won't give her frostbite but it's bloody cold.

There's a hair-raising moment as Jamileh passes over people dillgently working down below- they're all wearing protective suits, complete with plastic face masks to protect them from the deep chill in the area- and to keep the zone free of contaminants. Security in this part are also wearing the hazmat-like suits over the outside of their armor, and ecquipped with dart pistols instead of the P90's seen elsewhere.

Hazmat suits. Lovely. Hoping those things are just to keep them safe from the cold and that she won't need that for the cylinder, Wisp continues forward, toward that center space, inching again. She left Sydney for excitement…well, here it is. She's about to steal a cylinder filled with heaven knows what in a highly secure place run by blokes in hazmat suits.

Yippee.

When she gets to the end of the vent, Jamilah will come across another grill like the one she saw in the bathroom. Only, this time, she's on the inside. And the screws are on the outside.

And softly Wisp reports this back to Jailbait, along with the question of, "Any ideas or do I just start taking things out?"
Commlink-BlueFairy> Hitomi says, "I can only suspend one or two things at a time… if you can deal with the pressure plates on the floor, I can shut down the tripwire and have my agent spoof the one on the pedestal."

Two more tenticles shoot out of Hitomi, one of them flicking the switch connected to the laser output- the other one replaces the weight on the pressure plate with a virtual sandbag of equal weight.

The last half-hour or so has made Jamileh question herself about whether she should have left private security for this lucrative, adventurous and decidedly dangerous affair of running. But if anything convinces her that she might have made the right decision, it's the way she performs in the room with that cylinder. Lowering herself slowly to make as little noise as possible, she lingers over an area parallel to the device, making a bit of a mental calculation about distance. Then, working her weight, she swings toward the cylinder.

A second later, the item is in her gloved hand as gracefully as a prima ballerina with the best partner imaginable. Wow.

Commlink-BlueFairy> Hitomi says, "You got the package?"
Commlink-Wisp> Jamileh makes a single soft sound of acknowledgment and then starts pulling herself up again.
Commlink-BlueFairy> Hitomi says, "Alright, all that's left now, is to get the hell out of here. I've looked up the schematics of those vents, and I think that you can get up to the roof through that chute. It'll probably be an easier way out than through the front door, if you think you can clumb up about four meters of aluminium venting. The top vent isn't even alarmed, so far as I can tell."
Commlink-Wisp> Jamileh answers once she's outside that room. "Shouldn't be any worries. That was where I wanted to go. Give me a tick and I'll be there."

Commlink-Wisp> Jamileh says, "Roof seem clear to you, JB?"

Wisp, her ruthium suit active, grows very still and listens. Footsteps…not a good thing.

Boots wander past the vent, then, and there's a knife in the ankle holster of the boots. These are not very friendly boots.

No, and for that, the Aussie is willing to stay where she is, hopefully unseen, for as long as the boots and their owner are on the rooftop. She does not want to get into a fight. Does not. Does NOT.

Unfortunately for Wisp, it looks as if the man is going to be here for a while- as if it's his post. And unlike the girl wedged halfway up a vent, he has a hot thermoss full of coffee and a piss bottle. One gets the impression this is his station.

As quietly and carefully as everything else, Jamileh eases the latch off the grate before opening the thing very slowly. She is again holding her breath. Once the thing is open, and the Boots Man seems to be walking away, she'll try to make her exit.

And, Wisp ends up standing on the roof of the place, the man turns around, and despite lookning right at her, fails to spot the woman. After all, she is invisible.

And this bloke seems not to have the gear to see through her suit. Huh. Right. So creeping to the side of the building, she works her way into position to try to scale down. Which is, for her, pretty much cake.

Once she is down off the roof, Jamileh makes a bolt for the outer perrimeter, and only when the building is entirely out of sight does she dare deactivate her rutheum. She and Hitomi meet up a little later on that day, and upon turning in the target item, they are congratulated on a job well done and given a 30k bonus for not being seen, which they split evenly.
